The Research Center at Northwest Research and Education Institute (NWREI) is committed to the ongoing development, advancement, and application of healthcare knowledge, healthcare treatments and outcomes through a collaborative effort with other like-minded research institutions, healthcare organizations and sponsoring agencies, both locally and at the national level.

The Center plans and seeks to develop an infrastructure within the Northwest Research and Education Institute from which a sustainable research program can be implemented with the long term goal of improving health care and related health care outcomes among rural, frontier and tertiary populations in the Montana and Northern Wyoming regions. The department currently consists of a research team that is responsible for coordinating and managing research projects within the Center.

The Center has excellent partnerships with the St. Vincent Health Care, Rocky Mountain Health Network, the Institutional Review Board of Billings, Indian Health Services, and other healthcare partners that gives it continuous access to frontier/rural and tertiary populations that enables translating research into practice.

The Center is currently involved in a number of company sponsored pharmaceutical drug and device clinical trials. For more information about the Research Center or any of the research programs please e-mail:
